Chief's Message

On behalf of the Chatham Community Fire Protection District Board of Trustees and all of the members of the Chatham Fire Department, it is an honor to welcome you to the website of the Chatham Fire Department. We are pleased that you have taken the opportunity to visit with us.

As we celebrate our 88th year of the Chatham Fire Department’s service to the Village of Chatham, Chatham Fire Protection District, and surrounding communities, I would like to thank all of the past and present members that have made this department what it is today. The Chatham Fire Department is a professional, emergency and non-emergency response agency with its number one priority being to provide caring and efficient service. We work very hard at being prepared to serve and protect the people of the Village of Chatham, Chatham Fire Protection District, and surrounding communities; and we do that through education, training, equipment, and most importantly, compassion.

We are extremely proud to serve and want each one of you that live in the community and those who visit, to know that the employees of this fire department will always provide the highest level of care, compassion, and service to those who need it.

We encourage you to stop by the fire station located on Illinois Route 4 in the Village of Chatham and visit with us. Additionally, if I can be of any assistance to you at any time, please feel free to call me at 217-483-2121.
